Things I love Thursday 8/7/14

I missed last week with my crazy work schedule and homework assignments. I thought about doing it several times but then just decided that some weeks its more stressful to do my TILT than it is to not do it. I hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks. It amazes me how fast the weeks seem to be going by. I know that time has appeared to get faster every year but each week I am amazed when it is Friday. I guess being busy has a lot to do with it. Often I feel as if I need more hours in the day to do all that I want to do. School is back in session in our area and it was so weird to not be getting Michael ready for class. He is taking classes locally but didn’t actually have a first day of school per se. I miss the morning French toast, the new shoes and clothes, the backpack and wide smile on his face. As I scanned through my Facebook I saw so many first day of school pictures. Treasure the moments because they pass by way too quick. That is one of the reasons I find the moments in the week I love. It is too easy to get wrapped up in the day to day and miss all the good stuff. I challenge you to find the good stuff. The junk is all relative and those moments are easily forgotten so why waste any ounce of worry or stress?

I love fresh summer fruits and vegetables. Sweet homegrown tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, and fresh sweet corn. I could eat an entire meal of just fruits and vegetables.

I love the little reprieve I have between the last week of a class and the first week of the next class. We do have pre assignments but its typically just reading so its easy to fit in on my lunch.

I love margaritas. Last Friday I went out with a great group of people and had some yummy margaritas. I love laughing until your stomach hurts and friends that just make you feel good after a long and hard week.

I love that Rich does little things to take care of me. I don’t always let him do much for me and think I probably should. I hurt my leg this week and he did extra around the house, left me the automatic car and reminded me to rest when I thought I should be doing something else.

I love when Rich and Michael pick up the slack when I have a busy week at school or work. Last week it was both combined and Michael cleaned up the house and Rich had dinner waiting for me when I came home after a long day.

I love that Augusta has become my home. I know it’s been four years but it amazes me that almost every time I go to a store or restaurant I see someone I know. I lived in Batavia for years and cannot say the same thing.

I love that we have a beach trip on the calendar. I wish it was this week but its only two weeks away. I get to help celebrate a great friends birthday, meet with my awesome Florida friends, and hang out with my husband and son. It really is going to be a nice long weekend I cannot wait. I am really bummed that I missed the month of a July for a trip of some sort but I think this trip will make up for it.

I love the sounds and smells of summer nights. There is a slight coolness in the air with a damp green smell. I love hearing the crickets and the peace of the night.

I love daily kindle deals although I may have a problem. I have so many books both E books and real books to read and never seem to find the time.

I love a simple dinner of macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. It brings me back to days oif the past.

I love a random text or dlelivery to ccheck if I am okay. Its so nice that people think of me.

I love being able to help someone out with thier future. I hope that my input leads to a better life.

I love you all. Hope you have a great week.
